The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for growing the relationship between VOAC and the communities it serves. The coordinator will work to implement volunteer opportunities amongst our supporters as well as fundraising/friendraising events that support the mission and growth of VOAC. Events include, but are not limited to, Harvest for Hope, Voices of Faith, and prayer breakfasts. The coordinator will work with supporting organizations and groups to design volunteer opportunities that provide significant benefit to VOAC. In addition, the coordinator is responsible for working with the communications specialist on VOAC's social media presence as well as website content and updates. The coordinator will also be responsible for updating the VOAC intranet, and will support the Direct Mail program as needed.

Provide the highest level of customer service to our financial supporters
Increase average gift of individual donors, partnerships w/corporations and civic groups
Increase donor giving by 10 percent each year
Establish and maintain new funding opportunities for programs through strong relationship management.
Assist in seamless operations of Development unit.
Sustained communications and tracking of donor feedback to improve processes, systems and effectiveness of VOA-C efforts.
College degree or a combination of education, training or experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the duties.

Flexibility to adjust in a changing environment and willingness to take on additional responsibilities
Proficient in MS Word (basic skills and mail merge abilities), Excel (create and maintain spreadsheets, create formulas), Outlook (intermediate) and experience with fundraising software.
Knowledge of social media, WYSIWYG website editors is a must
Flexible scheduling, especially to assist with or attend events
This position requires driving your personal vehicle for company business. Must be privileged to drive according to the criteria set forth by Agency MVR guidelines.
Valid driver's license in jurisdiction of residence
Vehicle liability coverage if driving personal vehicle (on occasion, may be required to transport clients in personal vehicle)
May be required to drive a van
Acceptable Criminal background check, OIG Exclusion check
Negative Drug and TB Screening
CPR/First Aid Certification must be acquired and maintained once employed
One to three (1-3) years of demonstrated experience in volunteer management, event planning, and marketing. Commitment to VOAC mission, vision and Core Values. Experience with Not-for-profit or charitable organizations is a plus.
Should possess experience working with vendors and outside experts
Great customer service to provide a better experience for our volunteers, donors and guests.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
