COMMUNITY MANAGER POSITION DESCRIPTION

Our community manager will help our audience understand who we are and why it can benefit them through creative and consistent storytelling. It requires you to be a great writer, a futuristic thinker and someone with an unwavering belief in our product and our brand. Skeptics need not apply. This job is for someone who believes wholeheartedly in the value of a George Fox education.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Responsible for managing and engaging with George Fox University's online community to elevate the brand, build loyalty and increase enrollment.
Oversee the distribution of content to our primary social media channels.
In tandem with marketing leadership, develop a dynamic, relevant and aesthetically pleasing brand that entices prospective students to be part of the George Fox story.
Collaborate with a team comprised of full-time employees and part-time students who specialize in video, photo, and design.
Lead a paid advertising strategy on social media to reach target audiences.
Partner with departments around the university to tell the story of George Fox in a compelling way.
Pioneer new ways to reach our target audiences that align with short-term and long-term marketing goals.
Translate direction from marketing leadership into actionable steps for the team based on analytics, current trends, and a deep understanding of our audience.
Develop an editorial calendar and partner with the content team to meet those deliverables while also maintaining space to pivot to new opportunities.
On a limited basis, contribute blog posts and features for the university magazine.
Bachelor's degree required
2+ years of experience in marketing, writing and/or communications
High level of social media acumen and expertise with a thirst to continuing growing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience on high-functioning teams that meet or exceed goals
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Experience creating and implementing successful marketing strategies
Advanced time management and analytical skills
