Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, discharge planners, case managers, social workers, and other health care professionals who utilize home care services by regularly scheduling and conducting visits to those referral sources in order to assist in identifying those patients who may be appropriate for home health and hospice services thereby increasing the number of clients served by the agency/market. Maintain current knowledge of agency/market trends, coverage criteria, and industry changes to ensure compliance with required regulations.

Represent the agency at health fairs, mall shows, other community service functions, and participates in civic and/or community committees as requested. Continuously conducts market assessments and develops a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet budgetary volume projections. Works with the Director of Business Development to establish marketing techniques.

Employs marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve budgetary volume projections. Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and potential referral and payer sources. Builds and monitors community, customer, and payer and patient perceptions of Seaport Home Health and Hospice as a high quality provider of services.

Provides leadership in strategic planning including identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of Seaport Home Health and Hospice markets including government agencies, major payer groups, key referral sources, and competitor's market positioning. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge in the field of marketing and shares information with appropriate organization personnel. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of community resources and assists customers in accessing community resources should services not be provided by Seaport Home Health and Hospice Monitors and reports cost effectiveness of marketing efforts.

The goal is to obtain basic skills needed to continue educational/vocational pursuits beyond the time of JCCS enrollment. QUALIFICATIONS Possess (1.) Valid non-emergency California teaching credential authorizing service at the elementary of secondary level; OR (2.) Valid Emergency Substitute Teaching Permit based on a baccalaureate degree and CBEST (California Basic Educational Skills Test) or eligible for CBEST waiver. The original credential or permit must be registered with the San Diego County Superintendent of Schools Credentials office. Candidates that need to apply for the 30-day Emergency Substitute Permit should call our Credentials office at 858-292-3581 to request a Substitute Permit Application Packet and/or the CBEST application and information. Ability - Applicants must be able to teach basic education skills to students of varying age groups. Applicants must have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Applicants should have the ability to work with students from diverse ethnic backgrounds. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: California law requires public educational employees to be fingerprinted for the purpose of a confidential background investigation. An applicant will be barred from employment if he or she has a prior conviction for a serious or violent felony as specified, unless the applicant has obtained a certificate of rehabilitation and pardon, or if for a serious felony, a court finding of rehabilitation. Provisions of the Education Code require new employees to present evidence of freedom from tuberculosis. WORK SCHEDULE: Flexible work days, approximately 6.75 hours per day.
