Job Description:

The Financial Center Community Lending Officer is responsible for originating retail mortgage loans and other lending products through maximizing client relationships within a designated Financial Center. This individual would have an extensive understanding of the local Affordable Housing Market, Housing Assistance Programs, and experience providing thoughtful lending solutions and guidance to Low to Moderate Income and First Time Homebuyers. Contact may be either telephonic or in-person. Must complete curriculum to achieve certification in Neighborhood Lending.

This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing. Since your position requires SAFE Act registration, you will be required to register and to submit to the required SAFE Act background check and registration process. Failure to obtain and/or maintain SAFE Act registration may result in your immediate termination.

Required Skills:

  • Two years of experience in loan originations

  • Knowledge of conventional and/or government guidelines as well as affordable mortgage products and programs

  • Knowledge of processing underwriting and/or closing procedures/federal lending regulations governing real estate lending

  • Ability to organize and deliver Home Buyer Workshop presentations

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Teamwork and client service skills a must

  • Self-motivated and highly organized

  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks

Desired Skills:

  • Familiar with FHA and HUD guidelines

  • Knowledge of community housing counseling agencies

  • Knowledge of local competition product offerings and real estate market dynamics

  • Strong computer skills including MS applications and previous experience utilizing laptop technology for client communication purposes including accessing rate, credit and loan status information

  • Solid time management skills and the ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, across a variety of audiences

  • Ability to analyze and comprehend complex financial data and provide appropriate financial solutions

  • Professional and effective interpersonal skills

The Community Outreach and Young Adult Engagement Specialist is responsible for targeting young adults in the City of Marlborough and connecting them to appropriate services including the WRSC. The Community Outreach and Engagement Specialist is also responsible for educating the public about addiction and the multiple pathways to Recovery, recruiting participants, and networking with community-based organizations in collaboration with peer volunteers. Assist Young Adults on their pathway to Recovery/or help maintain a strong Recovery. Must be willing to work nights and weekends. This position is Part-Time (20 hours per week) $16.00/hour * One year of experience in a substance abuse program preferred * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred. * Be familiar with local recovery community. * Experience working within the young adult and substance misuse services, with a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services * Knowledge and understanding of the specific need often associated with the Young adult population. * Experience providing harm minimization advice and information that reduces the potential negative impact on individuals and communities * Experience with referral procedures to a range of treatment / community support agencies * Experience with the provision of support that is structured, focused and time-limited to the point of entry with clients waiting to access appropriate treatment /support services generated from contacts with the street population * Experience of assertive outreach in order to engage with clients previously referred into treatment services who have dropped out of prescribing / treatment / support regimes * Experience/knowledge of providing effective outreach provision to hard to reach groups * Experience with data collection systems, information technology and general administrative duties * Must have excellent verbal, social and writing skills * Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies * Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, families, staff and regulatory agencies * Must have valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
