Community Engagement Specialist

The Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic programming and events that build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including public and private organizations, non-profits, and local communities. In this role, the position will support the work of AtlantiCare Health Engagement, Safe Beginnings, and the Midtown CDC. The successful candidate collaborates with a wide range of partners to create and implement programmatic activities that support each department's community health improvement goals in accordance with the strategic and business plans of AtlantiCare.

Working within the framework of each department, the Community Engagement Specialist will respond to community requests and translate stated objectives related to community engagement into programmatic initiatives. The core activities of the position include relationship building, partnership and programming development and maintenance, event planning, and coalition building.

This position supports organizational goals by providing quality community and customer service, promoting engagement through a myriad of venues, including ongoing and special events and by demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.
