Position Location: Raleigh, NC

Hours: 40 hours a week according to business and event needs

Your impact:

As a Community Engagement Officer, you'll have the opportunity to use your outgoing personality skills and problem solving ideas to build rapport with our SEG's (Select Employee Groups), including management, employees, and all departments, and act as their consultant in meeting their financial needs. You'll also have the opportunity to use your achievement drive and strong communication skills to create and implement sales strategies, speak publicly, and make outbound calls to increase business within the SEG branch and recruit new SEG's.

The contributions you can anticipate making:

Developing, implementing, and monitoring your own action plan to achieve personal, branch, and corporate sales and service goals in support of our commitment to achieve superior and sustainable financial results.

Providing an exceptional member experience as you consult with SEG's, members, and prospective members to identify needs relating to their personal financial goals.

Making public and individual presentations of product, service, and financial recommendations and providing financial education based on those needs leading to tremendous community and brand impact.

Analyzing financial and credit information in order to recommend financial planning services, approve loans, or make referrals to business partners.

Using your talents to support the branch performance plan to increase member loyalty and achieve a world class Net Promoter Score.

Disbursing Credit Union funds in accordance with our lending guidelines and ensuring proper documentation is completed to maintain collateral integrity and compliance with federal lending regulations.

Being the on-site go-to person when a member needs a "manager" or when a support department needs something from the team, and assisting with coordinating staffing and team operations with the manager.

Experience: Five years of consumer lending/account operating experience.

Mortgage and real estate lending experience preferred.

Seven years of financial institution or sales related experience preferred.

Public presentation experience.

Education: Related four-year degree preferred.

The North Carolina Department of Administration is seeking applicants for a Program Coordinator III (Working Title: Community Engagement Specialist) for our division of Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB). This division advocates for and promotes the use of minority, women and disabled business enterprises in the state's procurement and contracting process as outlined by G.S. 143-128, G.S. 143-48 and Executive Order 25, which encourages state agencies to provide purchasing and contracting opportunities to historically underutilized businesses. The State of North Carolina also has a certification/designation process, in which vendors are certified/designated as HUB Vendors. The HUB Office assists HUB vendors with identifying contracting and purchasing opportunities in state government and assists purchasing agents with identifying HUB vendors for bids and contracts. The HUB Office serves as a statewide resource for other HUB/Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) Programs and conducts seminars, workshops and conferences to increase the utilization of historically underutilized businesses in North Carolina. This position is responsible for Community Engagement for the HUB Office. Job duties include the following: * Developing/redefining, implementing, maintaining and promoting outreach efforts to maximize and increase the available number of opportunities for HUB vendors certified/designated to compete for opportunities to work with the State of North Carolina focused on rural communities. * Working with purchasing officers and capital project coordinators within the state agencies, departments, universities and community colleges to identify and utilize HUB vendors, contractors and service providers who can participate in such projects. * Assisting the state procurement officers in their duties and functions relating to HUB procurements and other related acquisition as well as assist state procurement officials in developing strategies which encourage HUB participation and to meet state HUB contracting and subcontracting goals. * Creating and promoting a comprehensive, effective array of communications material promoting HUB program and develops, designs and delivers effective PowerPoint presentations. * Conducing presentations and training sessions; interpret legislation, executive orders, bid documents, specifications and contract documents. * Serving as a liaison between the North Carolina State HUB Office and other agency personnel to address solicitations, contracts, purchase orders and other related acquisition issues. * Additional duties as assigned.
