Job Summary
The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of the Community Schools model for Navigator Schools as well as managing the development, implementation, and monitoring of extended learning (during the traditional school year), expanded learning (intersession and summer school), and before and after school intervention and enrichment programs. This role will implement systems, procedures, and policies; monitor projects; and maintain program fidelity for both the California Community Schools Program (CCSP) as well as the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP). The position will support a community coalition, using a "whole-child" approach to pursue partnerships focused on academics, health and social services, youth and community development, and community engagement.
The leader in this role will also develop systems to connect families with basic resources needed for family stability. They will play a key role in building and maintaining tiered prevention and intervention systems that provide a positive school-wide culture, including youth and family engagement.
The Manager will coach and supervise the Community Schools Coordinators at each site and the After School Site Coordinators. This role will also serve as a liaison between our partners providing services through ELOP.
