Goals & Objectives

  • To create and oversee everything for the market.

  • Help manage the overall P&L responsibility for the market.

  • Build and grow the WeWork brand through events, public relations efforts, brand awareness, and local specialized support.

  • Be the voice of your local markets internally and partner with key functions such as real estate, finance, IT, digital, HR, development, sales marketing, and communications to grow the WeWork community.

  • Lead the Community Management teams in your markets to achieve the following:

  • Create a collaborative community environment. amongst our members through events and personal introductions.

  • Ensure that buildings are fully operational and processes are running smoothly.

  • Manage the sales process and churn.

  • Team development and growth.

  • Manage all KPIs for the market.

  • Core alignment with the company mission and values.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set the tone for the team, demand performance, and drive results while also growing the next generation of leaders in the market and in the Responsible for all hiring and firing in the market.

  • Be the local market presence to support Real Estate Team in the selection of future market sights.

  • Assist in programming the physical space with the D&D Team.

  • Help manage the P&L - member growth, occupancy, revenue & margins - managing budgets & pro forma.

  • Be ultimately responsible for the health of community and experience of buildings.

  • Be ultimately responsible for the performance of the local community team and for local organizational health.

  • Build a strong local brand through executing marketing campaigns (events, ad buys ), in partnership with the Brand & Marketing team.

  • Navigate local regulatory status and work with legal on government relations.

  • Coordinate with communications Be the local spokesperson for the press.

  • Build and manage high-level relationships and partnerships within the market.

  • Partner with HQ to manage vendor relationships.

  • Mentor multiple teams in several locations to reach Community goals and execute on all objectives.

  • Act as liaison between your city teams and the Regional GM.

  • Maintain WeWork brand standards in your market.

Experience & Requirements

  • BA / BS or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Hospitality or other related degrees.

  • MBA preferred.

  • Minimum 10+ years experience in hospitality, marketing, retail, startups, consulting or related experience with a strong operational focus

  • Entrepreneurial experience is a plus.

  • P&L experience required.

  • Managed organizations of 30+ people.

  • Experience in managing sales and building high visibility brands a plus.

  • Experience in real estate, facilities management or retail a plus.

  • Passion and understanding for entrepreneurial communities.

  • Thrive in a fast paced environment while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong communication, organization and project management skills.

  • Assertive and have a strong drive to develop those around you, being an inspirational leader.

  • Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy.

  • Strong operations background.

  • Proven experience with Business scaling a plus.

  • Experience in planning strategic growth.

This position plans, develops and coordinates community relations and business development activities to support campus growth while creating and maintaining a favorable public image for the organization. Community Relations Specialist activities can include businesses, alumni, current and potential students, faculty, staff, Employer Partnership colleagues, non-profit partners, community college partners and the community at large. In addition,the Community Relations Specialist serves as a source of information about programs and offerings to new and potential local students. Responsibilities * Plans, develops, implements, and executes community relations activities that promote and increase awareness of the organization, as well as, meet departmental goals and objectives * Adheres to the community relations departmental budget as it relates to the campus and/or organizational budget * Participates and may lead or facilitate information meetings, events, programs, and any other campus functions as it relates to community relations * Researches and coordinates community relations programs and/or activities to favorably position the university among the business, government and other communities as well as alumni, students, faculty and staff * Researches and arranges for appropriate speaking opportunities for company personnel at professional associations, business organization luncheons, Chamber Events and meetings to promote the goodwill of the organization. Maintains a calendar of community events for promotional purposes * Researches and arranges for appropriate community lead generation for campus staff to attend and/or host. Maintains a calendar of events * Works with marketing personnel to coordinate community relations activities with promotional and lead generating activities * Maintains a calendar of events while performing all administrative tasks as needed for the position * Participates and may lead or facilitate campus and/or organizational task forces or committees * Fosters and maintains contact within the community or participates in community boards or associations to monitor the immediate external or local environment for legislation or events that will potentially affect the organization. Keeps campus or regional management abreast of such issues * Works as a liaison with campus operations to ensure operational efficiency within the enrollment department * Local travel will be required Qualifications Basic Requirements: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business or related field * Minimum three (3) years of experience in business to business sales, technology sales, and/or business development * Minimum three (3) years of experience in public speaking, public relations, event planning, strategy development and implementation * Minimum three (3) years of experience with negotiating contracts, proposals or agreements with vendors, outside partners and organizations and interface with internal accounting and finance representatives to manage event budgets. * Minimum three (3) years of experience in developing and implementing lead generation plans and objectives Additional Requirements: * Master's degree in Business or related field, strongly preferred * Experience with the higher education market and multiple industries strongly preferred University Of Phoenix Atlanta GA
