Under supervision of the COVID-19 Coordinator, assists in organizing, monitoring, and updating the COVID-19 test scheduling in Juneau. This position will require that the employee be able work outside and be briefly exposed to outside elements. Must be able to walk quickly, potentially on uneven surfaces.
Facilitate the collection, processing, and transportation of COVID-19 test specimens
Provide tester with a self-swab kit, instruct as needed, and collect the test kit.
Follow departmental policies to correctly identify the patient before any specimen is obtained
Properly label and document the specimens and prepare for shipment
Demonstrate outstanding customer service and compassion when interacting with others
Communicate with, understand, and react effectively to a diverse population.
Follow HIPAA and SEARHC privacy requirement for confidentiality
Previous experience with COVID-19 screening and/or swabbing is highly desired
Previous experience in Customer Service or Hospitality Services preferred
Prior experience working in a Healthcare environment preferred
Experience using Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word
Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems helpful

Must be able to walk quickly, carry at least 15 pounds, and comfortable working at outside testing locations.
