Community Center Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

This safety-sensitive position (SS) is responsible for managing four community centers for the

Jonesboro Parks and Recreation Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Serve as the first point of contact to the public for questions regarding the community centers, recreation programs, and museum.

2.Responsible for reporting incidents, accidents, and repair needs to Parks Administration. This

duty is performed as needed

3.Maintains office supply inventory; purchases office supplies as needed.

4.Resolves patron and employee complaints using facility policies and procedures. This duty is

performed as required.

5.Ensures that supervisors are completing assigned work duties. This duty is performed daily.

6.Manage and schedule staffing for reservations for the community centers and museum.

7.Reviews applicants, conducts interviews, and submits requests for hire to the Parks Office Manager. This duty is performed as needed.

8.Coordinates with programs department regarding tournaments and other sporting events. This duty is performed as required.

9.Operating a city vehicle is required for the essential functions.

10. Approves employee time for payroll. This duty is performed weekly.

11. Schedules training and orientation for new hires. This duty is performed as needed.

12. Reports scheduling conflicts and/or problems with reservations to Parks Administration. This duty is performed as required.

13. Process and oversee memberships, counter money transactions, and some program registrations with recreation management software.

14. Performs any other related duties as required or assigned
