Providence is calling a Community Care Registered Nurse - Quality and Clinical Leadership (0.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Office Park in Portland, OR.
In this position, you will:
Provide and supervise professional, independent nursing care for Providence patients.
Provide care based on the nursing process and consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act.
Apply knowledge of assessing, planning, ordering, giving, delegating, teaching, and supervising professional nursing care delivery that promotes patients' optimal health and independence.
Possess a broad range of general nursing knowledge and expertise.
Develop and validate knowledge and skills essential to the assigned department, patient population, and/or practice area.
Participate in and lead clinical teams and supervise, assign, or delegate to licensed practical nurses (LPN's), certified nursing assistants (CNA's), and other healthcare workers.
Perform all duties in a manner that promotes effective team functioning and reflect the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.
This position may be required to rotate through a weekend shift
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) at time of hire
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification within 6 months of hire
1 year of experience working with the frail or elderly population
Relevant training and certifications applicable to the position, as specified by the Nurse Manager
In compliance with company policy and state regulations, a Department of Human Services (DHS) a criminal background check may be required based upon the location of the position. Fingerprinting may be required also
