RISC builds a powerful community of people from racially, religiously, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds to address root-level causes of injustice in the Greater Richmond Region. RISC empowers community leaders to gather their neighbors and call for systemic changes that affect their everyday lives.

Since 2002, RISC leaders have achieved significant changes in housing, healthcare, job training, and education. The Community Assessment VISTA will play an important role in building RISC's capacity to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged individuals in Richmond through leadership development. Help measure the effectiveness of RISC's anti-poverty programming and improve participant-led research methods.

Your work will have a direct effect on RISC's ability to successfully address housing, education, and child welfare in the Richmond region this year. If you have skills or experience in qualitative research methods, leadership, non-profit management, and/or teamwork, we'd love to meet you! RISC serves the City of Richmond, Henrico County, and Chesterfield County.
