Description

We are seeking a friendly and outgoing Community Ambassador Supervisor to represent the City of Richmond and foster strong relationships within the community. The program is designed to help grow and develop City of Richmond residents through personal and professional development and career exploration. Our ideal candidate possesses excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, a passion for community engagement, and the ability to inspire and motivate others. The Community Ambassador Supervisor will oversee the activities of the Community Ambassadors, ensuring effective community engagement and support. This role involves strategic planning, team management, and collaboration with various stakeholders to foster a cohesive and supportive community environment.

Duties include but are not limited to

• Supervise, mentor, and support a team of Community Ambassadors, providing guidance and resources needed to succeed.

• Develop and implement community engagement strategies to enhance participation and satisfaction.

• Plan, promote, and oversee community events, both online and offline, to foster engagement and collaboration.

• Identify and address emerging community needs and trends.

• Actively engage with community members to understand their needs and connect them with relevant resources, programs, and opportunities.

• Handle conflicts and issues within the community promptly and effectively, maintaining a positive environment.

• Develop and maintain relationships with key community stakeholders, organizations, and influencers to foster collaboration and support.

• Guide the team in conducting outreach activities to identify and engage potential community members, partners, and collaborators.

• Gather and analyze feedback from community members to inform and improve community engagement strategies.

• Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to community engagement.

• Act as a point of contact during emergencies, providing support and coordinating response efforts.

• Continuously seek ways to improve community programs and initiatives to better serve the community.
