Community Aide Spanish Speaking

Community Aide Spanish-Speaking Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Collaborate with partners in the schools and the community to plan and implement programs that will assist community needs and connection building. Coordinate events for the school in the community to cultivate family engagement, particularly with Spanish-speaking families.Liaise with community partners in the school, coordinate opportunities for family engagement, engage with newly registered families, and visit homes of students who are struggling with attendance to provide resources and services.

Minimum Acceptable Training and Experience: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and three (3) years of work experience that involved public contact. Substitution: Satisfactory completion of 30 college credits may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to two (2) years of the above general work experience.

There is no substitution for the additional one (1) year of specialized work experience described above. Must qualify and be eligible to hire from the current civil service list or hold the title permanently
