Job Description / Responsibilities :

Candidate will perform operations and maintenance (O&M) of one or more unique communications systems. Job functions include maintaining/monitoring networked computer systems and troubleshooting issues. O&M requires maintaining custom system(s) with current security patches, anti-virus protection, system backups, monitoring server health, collection/review of audit logs, up-to-date operating systems and associated scripting.

Required and Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Required:

Previous experience as a systems administrator
Understanding of network systems and thorough understanding of TCP/IP
Excellent written communication skills, articulate and proactive
Some experience with Unix-based systems administration (e.g. Linux)
Some practical experience with OpenVPN and IPSec tunneling
Linux O/S and kernel development, esp. in networking, packet filtering, and configuring Linux IPTables
Familiarity with all audit logs and performing system backups
Managing user accounts and data access controls with Active Directory Services along with administering Domain Name System (DNS)
Previous experience with anti-virus scanning/updates
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning skills
Ability to follow good engineering and programming practices
Strong team player and independent contributor
Communicate effectively with peers and support staff to highlight and clarify software and system design elements

Preferred:

Prior experience within the IC
Experience with wi-fi communications

You'll Bring These Qualifications: * US Citizen with a current TS/SCI clearance and Polygraph. * Must possess an active polygraph. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 7+ years of related experience. * Experience with IT systems functional analysis, requirements design, test development, and test execution. * Ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment. * Excellent oral and written communications skills. * Detail oriented and organized; able to understand work problems and procedures and ensure accuracy of work and careful documentation. * Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ie.
