In this particular role, the OVPR is seeking an experienced communicator to join the Michigan Institute for Data Science (MIDAS), an organization that seeks to strengthen U-M's preeminence in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Create and manage a range of digital communications tools such as the MIDAS website, newsletters, and social media accounts, establishing a robust digital presence that supports the institute's objectives.

Translate complex scientific research and findings into engaging, audience-appropriate content, including news articles, web features, and social media posts.

Design and produce various publicity materials, including flyers, emails, and public-facing reports, leveraging current design trends and technologies.

Build relationships with communicators within OVPR and across U-M to create synergies that promote broader research priorities.

Utilize analytics tools strategically to gain insight into communications effectiveness and refine outreach strategies accordingly.
