Amazon SWF2 in Fishkill, NY is seeking a motivated, hardworking individual to fill a Communication Specialist role. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, high level of integrity, attention to detail, demonstrated writing and visual skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to customer service as it relates to product fulfillment.

The Communication Specialist will develop and execute effective communication strategies that promote clear and consistent messaging across the site. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing internal communication initiatives that increase employee engagement, improve productivity, and promote a positive and supportive work environment while interacting with HR and leadership. This is a role that done well will help shape the culture at SWF2.

Work Environment

Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts

Noise level varies and can be loud

Temperature in the delivery station may vary between 50 and 90 degrees, and will occasionally exceed 90 degrees

Very fast pace environment

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for communications, have a high level of flexibility, commitment and the ability to tackle ambiguity.

• Develop professional visual content and design creative communication formats

• Track and report content effectiveness metrics to internal stakeholders, as well as continually monitor, analyze and tune messaging to maximize impact

• Research and leverage other sites' communication strategies

• Partner with support teams to understand their challenges and provide relevant information to communications growth

• Liaison with departments across the fulfillment center

• Ability to communicate effectively and understand audience

• High level of awareness and interest in employee engagement

• Experience managing multiple projects

• A relentless approach to details

• Strong organizational skills

• Must be able to work independently

• Must adhere to confidentiality expectations

• A self-starter and effective problem solver

• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines

• Strong knowledge of operations throughout the building

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $31,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $54,600/year in our highest geographic market.
