Guidehouse is seeking a Communications Specialist to join our Defense and Security Segment, where they will be responsible for developing, leading, executing, and maintaining a robust communications management plan needed for internal and external stakeholders to advance government modernization initiatives. This position will support a program in U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

What You Will Do:

  • Develop professional briefings that include informative and aesthetically pleasing graphics to be received by government executives and leadership

  • Develop process maps and white papers based on the team's business and policy analyses

  • Develop and execute project tasks/deliverables and support the Project Manager in finalizing project tasks/deliverables.

  • Organize client meetings, including scheduling meetings; drafting and delivering agendas, meeting presentations and meeting minutes; providing and archiving required documentation; and documenting, tracking and following-up on action items.

  • Help inform decision-making through development of presentations, data visualizations and trackers.

  • Develop executive briefings, talking points and strategic communications/ work products such as newsletters, infographics, and other related marketing materials and graphics that promote program awareness and updates.

  • Support multiple, concurrent tasks, while ensuring technical accuracy, adherence to standards, and timely delivery of all products.

What You Will Need:

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to receive a Public Trust clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3-5 years minimum of professional relevant, full time experience

  • Excellent PowerPoint presentation development

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Critical and strategic thinking to solve problems and develop innovative solutions to client's management and operational challenges

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-based work environment

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and quick turn deliverables

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially MS PowerPoint, and MS Word

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • CBP Public Trust

  • Master's Degree

  • Proficiency in MS SharePoint

  • Ability to adapt quickly and develop successful professional relationships with the Guidehouse team, the customer, and their stakeholders (both internal and external)

  • Experience in performing data analysis; strong analytical sills with the ability to manipulate and analyze complex data sets.
