Job Summary:
Work hours are flexible but follow the typically Monday-Friday schedule.
This is a full time position but we will consider a .8 FTE (32 hours a week) position for the right candidate.
The position is hybrid and the in-person office location is at ETS's administrative office in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle.
The annual salary range for this position is $70,000 to $78,000. ETS strives to achieve pay equity and transparency as part of our goal to create an equitable workplace.
In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, dues paid in professional organizations will also be covered.
ETS's communications team is growing. As ETS ramps up communications efforts-internally to improve operational effectiveness and externally to promote a more healing-centered narrative around substance use and homelessness in the community-this position is critical to the organization's ability to advance health equity and community justice. The Communications Specialist (CS) supports communications and marketing activities, including planning, coordination, content creation, and public relations. This position raises awareness for the mission, leading to better life outcomes for the people we serve. Because our work is inherently politicized and polarized, the CS will need to demonstrate a high level of discretion and political acuity to provide adaptive and persuasive communication that can connect with widely divergent perspectives while forwarding our core mission.
The Communications Associate reports to the Vice President of Philanthropy & Communications and works closely with the philanthropy team to ensure that communications activities are optimized for maximum impact for the organization. This position requires effective verbal and written communication skills, graphic design experience, project management experience, and the ability to communicate with people of different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. The work environment is deadline orientated, dynamic, fast-paced and one must be able to quickly adapt to a continually evolving landscape. This role requires a high level of detail, organization, proactive communication, and creativity.
Please submit 2-3 marketing/communications samples along with your cover letter and resume. Pdf documents preferred.
