Communications Specialist

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Communications, will support all internal communications initiatives including executive and interdepartmental messaging, employee engagement and events, business continuity, and corporate social responsibility.

The Communications Specialist will work to promote and position the company favorably to current/potential employees and the community at large. They will work closely with the Sr. Manager, Communications, and other departments, as well as external partners and stakeholders as needed, to deliver and execute communications that are engaging, relevant, measurable, and aligned with corporate goals. The Communications Specialist is critical to the success of achieving our strategic objectives and vision as Cinch seeks to have a Cinch Home Services solution in every U.S. household.

Key Duties

  • Provide communications support to helps drive the success of individual projects as well as enterprise goals

  • Comfortable working with senior-level executives on key plans and projects, managing deadlines and timelines

  • Point person for writing and/or editing internal communications, including executive messages and talking points, quarterly employee newsletter, weekly business update, PowerPoint presentations, fliers, and email blasts, providing supporting content through various channels as needed

  • Upload news, communication, and other material to internal web sites and digital screens

  • Support and manage logistics for company events such as Town Hall, leadership meetings, employee engagement initiatives, community events, and more

  • Support a community relations program and its related strategies

  • Manage communications calendar and other calendars across a variety of functions

  • Other duties as assigned

Experience & Requisite Skills

  • Bachelor's degree minimum, advanced degree in Marketing and/or Communication a plus

  • 5+ years of experience in combined corporate communication, public relations, social media, and/or related fields

  • Possess a high level understanding of techniques, strategies, and tactics for using a variety of communications channels

  • Experience in interacting with C-suite or high level leadership a plus

  • Superior written/verbal communications and PowerPoint skills, plus intermediate graphic design skills

  • Proven track record of writing engaging, relevant internal and/or external communications; associate newsletter experience preferred

  • Ability to work independently, manage competing needs and requests, and shifting attention quickly to meet urgent deadlines a must

  • Event planning and logistics experience a plus

  • High proficiency in Office 365, experience with Adobe InDesign/Photoshop a plus

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Enjoys building relationships and collaborating with different roles and personalities in the organization who are collectively working toward the same objectives
