PURPOSE
The Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and executing strategic communications aligned with the company strategy. This includes crafting communications content across various platforms, including company emails, website, newsletters, intranet posts, digital signage, TEAMS & internal company videos, presentations, and company video scripts to inform and engage internal audiences. This role will also support the planning and executing of external communications and events to promote the company's image and initiatives while working with internal and external stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement strategic communications designed to support the company's goals and objectives.
Create internal and external communications, ensuring consistent messaging and brand image.
Collaborate cross functionally to gather information and ensure accurate and timely communication.
Utilize analytics to optimize efficacy of communications.
Strategic communications planning, execution and measurement: including collaboratively maintaining master communications calendar, using the appropriate tools to create and distribute communications via email, intranet, digital signage and other channels in a timely manner.
Content creation:
Create compelling and effective written content for the company intranet, newsletters, website, leader presentations, employee emails and company video scripts.
Media relations:
Monitor media inquiries and coordinate with team to ensure that requests receive appropriate and timely response.
Build relationships:
Build cross-functional working relationships with key stakeholders, such as employees and company leaders.
Collaborate with others:
Collaborate with the marketing team, vendors, leadership and other departments to support the achievement of individual and company goals.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
