As a communications professional, you know how to inform and engage key audiences and help promote an organization's desired reputation. We're looking for an experienced communications specialist like you, who is ready to share your knowledge and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day. Here, you'll use your skills and experience to design, develop, produce, and assist on a variety of internal and external communication materials.

As a communications specialist on our team, you'll author press releases, internal articles, newsletters, fact sheets or brochures, talking points, social media content, presentations, and email messages. In addition, you will support events and engagements for senior leaders. Your creative-thinking and business-oriented mindset will guide your client to inform key audiences through words, images, and sound using various tools. Your self-guided yet collaborative spirit will shape and nurture relationships with subject matter experts and senior leaders to help them tell their story and achieve their strategic communications goals.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience creating communications materials, including press releases, internal articles, newsletters, fact sheets or brochures, talking points, social media content, presentations, and email messages

• Experience using Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint

• Knowledge of AP style

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both with a team and independently

• Ability to multitask and be deadline-driven to organize and coordinate multiple projects

• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience working with U.S. Department of Defense strategic communications or public affairs

• Experience working directly with senior leaders

• Experience developing communications plans

• Knowledge of social media, graphic design, and software tools

• Secret clearance

• Master's degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
