Responsible for designing and producing company and client communications, including brochures, newsletters and specialized communications items.


  • Influences the direction of content development, providing creative recommendations and direction as needed;

  • Partners with internal team members to execute creative communications approaches;

  • Designs and produces benefit information brochures for clients as well as employee newsletters highlighting client's benefits, including: design, layout and data entry; changes, additions and modifications as requested by department staff or client;

  • Uses understanding of image creation, design layout, type and color, to guide internal teams and clients to desired projects results;

  • Creates, designs, prints and distributes client communication materials, including: benefit brochures, resource guides, benefit cards, posters, postcards, wallet cards, flyers, special topic pamphlets and brochures;

  • Participates actively in creative brainstorming sessions;

  • Prepares and proofs Request for Proposals (RFP's), client packets, case studies and presentations;

  • Prints and ships prepared materials to client(s) as requested;

  • Maintains .pdf file archives for both client(s) and company files;

  • Maintains excellent vendor relationships for printing communication materials;

  • Maintains supply of brochures, flyers and notebooks for Marketing;

  • Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);

  • Other duties as assigned.



Bachelor's degree in Graphics Design, Communication Arts, Fine Arts or similar field
2 - 4 years experience with solid background in copywriting, proofing and graphic design

Strong understanding of image creation, design layout, type and color, and being able to follow established style guides and directions from internal leads and clients


Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to effectively lead projects from conception to completion and meet project deadlines

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to prioritize to meet very tight turnaround times on multiple projects

Self-motivated with strong work ethic and attitude

Ability to project a professional image in action and appearance with all stakeholders

Proficient in MS Office Suite including PowerPoint

Proficient in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)

VIEW JOBS 8/16/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-11-14T00:00 General Description The Employee Benefits Practice Leader is responsible for driving continuous revenue growth for the USI Employee Benefits Houston office location and operation. Responsibilities: * Execute and lead the USI Core processes of Hire, Get, Prep, Close and Keep. * Meet and exceed opco's top line revenue growth and Organic Growth on an annual and quarterly basis. * Accountable for line of sight new and lost business forecasting for the current quarter. * Strategize with Operations Manager to retain business year over year. * Responsible for the ownership of pipeline management and at-risk accounts driving producer behavior utilizing the USI Omni and Risk Assessments. * Focus on recruiting hiring and on boarding new producers capable of driving new revenues on an annualized basis. * Train all new producers on the USI ONE Advantage and messaging issues/USI Solutions the financial impact and sample case studies specific to each prospect using such tools as the OMNI and the 4x4 ales execution. * Lead and execute effective Engagement Platform sessions on a weekly basis for both new and established producers. * Create positive synergy within practice to encourage two-way cross-selling. * Develop internal resources / experts to assist all producers in closing business. * Work with Operations Manager to enhance Value Proposition, Stewardship process and Account Management services. * Assist RCEO's in finding and recruiting Acquisition candidates. * Drive consistent and predictable long term profitable new client relationships. * Responsible for distribution of suspects and prospects to producers by working with both the local CRM Champion supported by the USI Data Integrity Team. * Assist in developing sales and marketing strategies along with communications to optimize USI's position in the marketplace. * Positively and proactively represent USI in meetings, seminars, trade shows and networking events following USI National Strategy and graphic standards. * Work collaboratively to maximize results in all markets. * Understand and communicate USI's initiatives to OpCo executives and production team. * Develop positive carrier relationships with oversight of override and contingent programs. * Drive utilization and keep current all prospecting and relationship building opportunities within the company's sales force automation system (CRM).
