Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Function)

The communications representative assists the corporate communications department with a variety of projects including content generation, editing, proofing and distribution of employee communications, HR communications and customer communications. This position also assists with research, data analysis and process review and provides support for various employee and customer communications projects and initiatives as needed.

Provide communications support (writing, research, planning, editing and proofing) for MidAmerican Energy employee and manager/supervisor publications. (30%)

Provide communications support (writing, research, planning, editing and proofing) for human resources communications (ex., benefits, policies, etc.) for MidAmerican Energy and Berkshire Hathaway Energy businesses. (30%)

Support electronic communications channels (customer website, intranet, digital signage, etc.), including planning, content development and implementation. (25%)

Provide additional support for employee and customer communications projects as assigned. (15%)

Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English or related field; or equivalent work experience. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)

Three to five years in employee and/or customer communications to include three years in a writing capacity.

Proficiency in AP style.

Background in writing or editing for internal and external publications is desirable.

Ability to research and analyze large amounts of information and present to an employee or a customer in an easy-to-understand, creative way.

Advanced writing and editing/proofreading skills with excellent command of standard grammar, syntax and word usage rules.

Strong customer focus and ability to communicate company language into employee and customer understanding.

Strong time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects with multiple internal and external clients concurrently while meeting hard deadlines.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Strong technical computer skills, including understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Writer.

Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsible for monitoring the current environment and developing comprehensive stakeholder strategies across various influencer groups, the team includes: Corporate Communications, Government Relations & Public Policy, Investor Relations, Philanthropy, Community Relations and Diversity & Inclusion. Wells Fargo's International Stakeholder Relations (ISR) team is seeking an experienced senior level communications professional to play a central role in leading content and channel strategy for internal communications for International stakeholders. The candidate will work closely with enterprise Corporate Communications functions to ensure strategy alignment and coordination, while meeting the unique needs and considerations of managers and team members in more than 30 countries across the globe. The role will work across global time zones to develop the strategy and provide strategic direction, management and adoption of an integrated, consistent approach for internal content, channels, tools and processes used to educate, inform and engage internal, international stakeholders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Channel strategy * Partner with enterprise communications teams to develop the strategy to improve the functionality and ensure consistency of enterprise channels to meet unique needs of international managers and team members * Partner with the enterprise communications teams to develop and lead the Teamworks publishing site strategy for international. * Collaborate and consult to recommend enhancements to existing channels and/or development of new innovative approaches to engage international stakeholders; Ensure alignment and coordination with enterprise targeted channels Content strategy and management * Partner with peers on the development, socialization and adoption of an International Style guide * Engage, provide oversight and direction for improved alignment for content planning, development and implementation for 'international-only' content within ISR. * Manage development and adoption of International Style guide Process/tool enhancements * Provide leadership and oversight for development of priorities and improvement plans for processes and technologies within ISR. * Collaborate with enterprise communications partners to identify opportunities to enhance existing enterprise processes and tools to meet the needs of developing, reviewing, managing, and delivering content to a global TM population. Research/industry best practices * Leverage feedback, data, research and industry best practices for development of content and channel strategies for international stakeholders. * Ongoing monitoring and identification of industry communication trends and best practices around engaging and innovative global team member communications. Change communications * Develop and execute change communications strategies to support adoption of changes and/or new processes and channels introduced to International stakeholders including managers and team members as well as changes within ISR.
