Provides courteous and prompt telephone service while demonstrating a high level of customer service skills. Position requires a professional attitude and the ability to handle 100-200 calls per hour, monitor all emergency equipment (fire alarms, generators, emergency black phone, etc.) and announce all hospital emergencies: codes, fire alarms, etc.
Minimum of 1 year experience on a PBX console or answering service.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High school graduate or GED equivalent
Ability to think logically, respond quickly and calmly, work independently and handle multiple tasks
Ability to read, write and communicate in English required.
