Communications Intern

This part time position is available within the College Relations Department/Marketing Unit through the College Internship Program as part of the College's commitment to assisting Graduates interested in attaining hands on work experience graduating from College.

Classification: Non-Affiliated Hourly

Staff Duration: Part Time, early June through the end of August 2024

1.Assist in planning and writing e-newsletters.

2.Update organization website using Wordpress with current events and relevant news,

etc.

3.Manage editorial and event calendars.

4.Uses client stories from funded programs to develop articles that will be used in

stakeholder communications.

5.Write press releases for events and announcements.

6.Conduct interviews to be used in marketing materials.

7.Create content for internal and external audiences.

8.Support the marketing and communications staff in creating collateral pieces.

9.Related duties, projects and initiatives as assigned.

1.Bachelor's Degree and 3.0 in major.

2.One year of experience in a team-oriented college setting (as a student worker or part-time employee).

3.Minimum of two years' of experience Microsoft Office Suite; may also require some knowledge of department software or database dependent on assignment.
