Position Summary:
The Communications Coordinator for Enrollment Management is responsible for coordinating and executing a comprehensive communication strategy that supports current students throughout their academic journey. This position demands a proactive approach to understanding and anticipating student needs to ensure timely and effective communication about essential actions. The coordinator will also oversee weekly newsletters to students and separate communications to parents, alongside managing content for the Skyhawk Station website and contributing to the campus-specific app and other digital communication spaces. Additionally, part of your role will involve providing frontline service at the Skyhawk Station during peak times. You will assist in responding to emails and texts, help with registration events, and support students directly with their inquiries and needs. This hands-on involvement ensures that you remain closely connected to the student experience and can adapt communications to effectively meet their evolving needs

Job Description:
Strategic Communication Development (30%)
Design and implement communication strategies that effectively drive student action and engagement, using insights into student behavior and institutional processes.
Develop and maintain a communication calendar that coordinates messages across various channels, ensuring consistency and timeliness.
Collaborate with Financial Aid, Advising, Billing, and the Registrar to align messages and create a cohesive communication experience for students.
Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
Continuously update knowledge on the latest communication, design, and content management software to enhance the effectiveness of communication strategies. Keep abreast of best practices for engaging with a college-student audience, ensuring that all communications are relevant, appealing, and effectively tailored to meet the needs and preferences of Generation Z and Millennials.
Content Creation and Management (30%)
Take charge of content creation, from drafting messages to designing and executing emails, texts, and app notifications.
Maintain and update content across multiple platforms (including the Skyhawk Station website, FLC App and Chatbot knowledge base), ensuring accuracy and relevance.
Work closely with the Marketing & Communications office to ensure alignment with the college's branding and communication standards, including adherence to AP style guidelines in all written materials.
Maintains knowledge and awareness of digital accessibility including the American with Disabilities Act and Section 508.
Produces and remediates digitally accessible materials in accordance with FLC standards.
Technical Execution and CRM Management (30%)
Utilize Technolution's Slate CRM to build and test audience queries, design emails, and ensure the successful delivery of communication campaigns.
Train and become proficient in using digital tools necessary for content creation and distribution, including HTML, CSS, and email design platforms.
Analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies and make data-driven adjustments.
Customer Support at Skyhawk Station (10%)
Assist in the Skyhawk Station during peak times by providing frontline services, helping answer emails and texts, and assisting with registration events and other student inquiries.
Ensure a seamless student service experience by addressing immediate needs and facilitating effective communication between students and various departments.
Support the ongoing operations and special events at the Skyhawk Station, reinforcing the commitment to student access and success.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Specialized Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of one year of experience in a communication related role
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, think strategically, and execute projects on a deadline.
Excellent writing, editing, and digital content creation skills.
Technically minded and comfortable learning and navigating new technologies
Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
Preferred Education, Specialized Skills and Experience:
Preference for a bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, business, writing, English or related field.
Experience in higher education communication or a similar role within a student-focused environment.
In-depth knowledge of CRM systems, advanced data analysis, and reporting capabilities. (including experience with a CRM or email platform, drag-and-drop design software, or query writing and reporting)
Familiarity with Technolution's Slate CRM
Familiarity with HTML and CSS

Typical work hours are 8am-5pm mountain time, Monday through Friday.
Overtime may be required in peak times, but this would be rare.
This is an on-campus position, however, there may be potential for occasional remote work.
Compensation
This position is a paid hourly position. $23.08 - $23.80 ( $48,000-$49,500 anualized) plus a comprehensive benefits package.
