This Communications Consultant will be responsible for managing policy documentation update workflow and related Medical Policy updates communications. They will need to be able to interpret the changes made to policies and document in such a way that the end users will be able to understand what is different or new.
They will coordinate monthly policy documentation updates, provider and member directed communications, and internal organization and client directed communications. He/she will manage large scale policy documentation projects impacting multiple affiliate platforms and corresponding internal and external communication plans. They're responsible for maintaining policies and procedures and monitoring company media, which may include company websites. He/she may manage public relations activities, including public information and shareholder information services.
Managing monthly policy communication and documentation workflow
Determining appropriate content distribution channels and related communication strategies
Overseeing production, approval, and distribution of materials
Leading/coordinating large scale policy documentation projects and corresponding communication plans
Developing policy update announcements for internal and external audiences
Auditing & editing of policy document formatting prior to publication
Posting of policy documentation to the applicable internal and external web portals
Working collaboratively with policy authors to ensure content integrity and usability
Functioning as a member of a self-directed team to meet specific individual and team performance requirements
Managing and maintaining quality and productivity metrics
Extremely detail orientated with focus on quality/quality assurance
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to present information to large diverse audiences
Able to work with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task, shifting back and forth effectively among multiple activities

3+ years business writing experience in a matrixed organization
3+ years project management experience leveraging cross-functional teams
2+ years personnel or workflow management experience
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Adobe PDF, and Cisco Jabber
Undergraduate degree or equivalent years of experience
Understanding of UnitedHealthcare's Medical Policy content, development process, website navigation, and communication/documentation procedures
Business writing experience for provider-directed communications and internal organization announcements
Experience in content management systems/applications for publishing website content
Document auditing and editing experience in accordance with style guidelines

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
