Position Overview

QinetiQ US is seeking a Communications and Marketing Specialist responsible for helping to drive integrated internal communications across a federal enterprise. This individual will provide outreach throughout the organization with a team who can amplify senior executive voices, along with integrating the broad policy and operational issues within the mission and interagency relationships. The ideal candidate is comfortable working both collaboratively and independently in a dynamic environment while supporting a positive and diverse team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic internal communication assessments and management approach for a large federal law enforcement organization.

  • Conduct predictive analysis of issues that may impact the future of a large organization and make recommendations for multi-disciplinary communications efforts.

  • Report out and provide a synopsis of communication engagement research, analysis, findings, and recommendations weekly or as a frequency as directed.

  • Develop senior leader talking points on myriad strategic issues affecting the organization.

  • Develop print and digital content and copy for employee engagement campaigns and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

  • Deliver communications support to the enterprise, including media, marketing and customer service support.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders in support of reactive and proactive communications engagements.

  • Develop and execute internal email marketing campaigns.

  • Plan, coordinate and manage all aspects of virtual and in-person events.

  • Execute internal communication activities that ladder up to a larger brand platform.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Public Relations or Communications, or similar relevant field.

  • Minimum of 4 to 8 years working experience as a communications specialist.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud suite.

  • Proficiency in email marketing platform solutions.

  • Demonstrate an ability to work in a dynamic and diverse team environment with quick deadlines, changing priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and use discretion in sensitive and high-pressure environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting strategic communications and public affairs for a federal client.

  • Professional certification in strategic communications accredited by a certifying organization, e.g. Public Relations Society of America.

  • Previous experience working in the national security, executive or legislative arenas.
