Communications And Grants Analyst (Departmental Analyst 12)

This position functions as the recognized resource for communication to stakeholders and social media for the Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA). This position will interact with, the State of Michigan social media director, other state agencies, CRA staff, and stakeholders. This position is instrumental in helping the Communications and Grants Director and the Public Relations Manager, as well as educating and engaging with the public about Michigan's cannabis industry.

This position is responsible for assisting with various communication efforts including, but not limited to, social media, developing press releases and talking points, and other information pieces. This position requires graphic design skills and acts as a resource for CRA staff. Additionally, works with the Communications and Grants Director and the Public Relations Manager regarding strategic communications, messaging, and graphic design needs.

This position represents the CRA at public events in a backup role. This position is also responsible for developing and implementing a strategic social media plan to achieve the agency's key goals, tracking and analyzing metrics to increase effectiveness, and creating videos and graphic designs including infographics, brochures, banners, and other department publications.

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience

Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.Departmental Analyst 12
