The Red Hat Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team is looking for a Communications and Change Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will own our team's communications and change strategies. You will work with various communications colleagues across Red Hat to build our internal brand and drive awareness of the business impact that data and analytics deliver. Partnering with the EDA leadership, you will prepare the EDA leaders and associates to share meaningful, consistent stories that highlight the capabilities and accomplishments of the team. You will serve as a key connector across our team and will also support executive communications. You'll supervise a communications specialist and report to the EDA Chief of Staff. U.S.-based, remote candidates will be considered for this position, if exceptionally well-qualified.
Primary job responsibilities
Lead and implement cross-functional change management and communications in a global company
Work with the EDA leadership team on change strategies and critical communications to support the governance, technology, and data literacy initiatives that maximize employee adoption and business impact
Develop presentations and processes to facilitate cross-functional change management and adoption at all levels
Create and carry out communications strategies, plans, and content that maximize global employee awareness, understanding, and adoption at all levels
Measure and report on the success and impact of communications strategies and campaigns
Provide communications training and enablement for the EDA associates to increase consistency in messaging and an adherence to brand standards
Serve as a change ambassador and accelerator, consulting with EDA leaders to implement change strategies and best practices
Use storytelling and plain language concepts to ensure broad awareness
Connect with other communications and corporate communications professionals to ensure appropriate use of all possible channels
Develop and coordinate content and materials to support external, outside of Red Hat, communications opportunities like speaking engagements, conference presentations, etc. for senior leadership
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or a related discipline
5+ years of professional experience spanning content strategy, branding, marketing, web content, public relations, or internal communications
3+ years of experience working with data in a business function role; knowledge of data and of its crucial role for the enterprise
Previous experience managing associates or teams
Proven ability to lead change management efforts
Ability to prioritize and organize work to achieve goals and expectations
Ability to collaborate with the Corporate Communications and IT teams to achieve consistency
Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to successfully implement change, understanding, and adoption
Impeccable command of English and excellent speaking, writing, and presentation skills; solid proofreading skills
Business acumen with the ability to balance big picture and carry out details
Experience managing competing priorities and working with associates at all levels in the organization
Excellent problem-solving skills
Proven ability to quickly gain insight into business needs
Ability to influence and tell stories using data and ideas
Great relationship building and management skills
Skilled in using office systems, spreadsheets, word processing, presentation, and collaboration tools
Masters degree in communications or business is a plus
Change management certification like Prosci is a plus
