Communication Studies, Adjunct Faculty - Onondaga Community College

Job Description:

The Communication Studies Program is seeking adjunct instructors qualified to teach one or more of the following introductory courses: Introduction to Communication, Interpersonal Communication and Public Speaking. Often, classes offered in the daytime need to be filled.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree (or higher) in Communication Studies or a relevant discipline from a regionally accredited college or university.

OR

Undergraduate degree in Communication Studies or a relevant discipline AND an MS in Education

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preference will be given to those with experience teaching at the community college level.

• Bilingual in Spanish and English (other languages will be considered).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

The ability to encourage student success is essential to teaching at Onondaga Community College.

Additional Information:

While the department priority is to secure an instructor for Fall 2023, other opportunities for future teaching of other courses may exist, provided that instructor qualifications meet course instruction needs.
