Communication Specialist
The Creative Group is looking for an outstanding story teller, who has experience in graphic design and social media. The client, here in the DC metro area, needs a Communication Specialist who understands how to reach and expand their audience while staying on brand. The ideal candidate will have experience with photo and video editing as well as online communications.


  • Create/edit graphics for the website.

  • Produce effective social media campaigns that align with the company's branding.

  • Optimize and track usability with Google analytics and other social media analytic platforms.

  • Manage and curate all social media account

  • Some photo and video editing.

  • Creating and managing the editorial calendars

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic HTML knowledge

  • Google analytics and social media tracking experience

  • B.A. in Journalism / communications

  • Photo and video editing (Adobe Photoshop, Premier, Final Cut Pro)

  • Ability to quickly read and accurately summarize news and research to write clear, accurate, and engaging headlines and social media posts

  • Non-profit experience is a plus.

VIEW JOBS 11/16/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-14T00:00 JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Communication Technician is responsible for planning, layout and complete installation of new commercial and retrofit commercial communications equipment and systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards. Responsibilities include but not limited to: 1.Installation of video and data cable Cat 6 as well as fiber cable. 2.Terminating, testing, troubleshooting of horizontal copper (Cat 5, Cat 6). 3.Termination of fiber. 4.Termination of riser cable. 5.Installation of patch panels. 6.Label and test horizontal cable. 7.Installation of backbone and riser cable (copper & fiber). 8.Read and understand plans and specifications. 9.Installation of plywood and racks. 10.Installation of cable trays in TC, MDF, IDF. 11.Mentor apprentices. 12.Assist in OSP (outside plant) installations. 13.Pulling cable 100 pair or smaller unassisted. 15.Assisting in Site Grounding. 14.Participating in Job site cleanup. 15.Maintaining clean work area. 16.Terminate various manufacturers of copper termination blocks. 17.Successful Cable Technician Will have extensive experience with the installation, termination and testing of Structured Cable Plant in commercial environments. 18.Technician should understand how improper installs can affect testing. 19.Technicians should have knowledge of BICSI guidelines for proper install and termination procedures. 20.Technicians must have proven experience terminating cable on Patch Panels and Jacks at Work Area Outlet. 21.Technicians must have full Technicians Tool Set. 22.Cable Technicians need to be able to train and supervise apprentices in a team environment to facilitate installing cable from TRs to WAO's while following drawings and run lists to ensure cables are installed methodically and arranged in proper bundles at TR for ease of dressing and termination. 23.Cable technicians also need to be able to perform Quality assurance checks on their teams work ensuring cable install is performed within all applicable requirements. 24.Technicians with proven Fiber Optics experience are a plus. Work may include supervising a team of 3-6 technicians, working independently or working under the direct supervision of a Communications technician. The ability to work with different types of connectors, terminations and pin configurations; knowledge of color codes; and familiarity with TIA and EIA standards and section 800 of the NEC is a plus. Communications technicians may also be required to assist electrical installations as needed. 1.3-4 years prior experience in commercial communications industry 2.Security clearance is a plus 3.High school diploma or GED are required 4.Must be 18 years of age 5.Must have reliable transportation to and from the jobsite 6.
