The Communication Firmware Verification Manager is responsible for technical efforts for the Communication Firmware Verification Engineering team, supporting test case and test plan development, performance, test documentation/reports for feature testing. The Communication firmware verification team need to analyze requirements and develop test plan, test design and test cases to cover those requirements. Need to execute the test cases and provide verification report. The team will interlock with communication firmware development teams to agree on test requirements and deliverables.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead activities of design verification throughout communication firmware development life-cycle.

  • Lead the development and documentation of the design verification plans, design verification test plans and final test reports. Manage test related anomalies.

  • Lead the development and documentation of verification test methods, protocols and test traceability.

  • Interact with Software/Firmware Engineering to ensure requirements are testable.

  • Support system integration activities to minimize issues in system verification and validation testing.

  • Lead firmware/software verification testing.

  • Interact with design team to resolve tests-related technical issues.

  • Direct/lead Senior and junior technical team members within area of responsibility to complete projects with quality, within time

  • Participate and/or lead design reviews.

  • Lead and lead all activities of design verification and validation throughout product life-cycle management.

  • Work closely with firmware engineering teams to gain approval for test plans and test coverage during solution development and prior to implementing for engineering validation and manufacturing.

  • Strong background in C, C++, and/or other scripting languages.

  • Python development experience is a desired

  • Familiarity with implantable medical device test designs is a plus.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant Medical Device industry experience including engineering verification of firmware/software.

  • Background of leading teams and driving strategic direction for large projects.

  • Experience with Linux O/S, iOS and Android platform testing.

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.

  • Strong English Skills preferred.

  • Candidate must be pro-active and highly self-motivated self-starter.

  • Ability to lead technical staff in the group that ensures clear accountability and operational excellence.

  • Actively communicate and advocate teams capabilities and accomplishments.

  • Responsible for development of state-of-the-art industry expertise and technical competencies.

  • Ensure effective performance management.

  • Develop and maintain an effective and collaborative working relationship with internal and external development partners.

Qualifications: * - Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related engineering field. * - Typically a minimum of three plus years of progressively more responsible work experience in a range of software engineering disciplines using a variety of programming methods * - Strong experience with software programming languages (i.e. C++, C# is required. Experience with MS Windows Visual Studio development environment a plus ). * - Experience with visual modeling, graphical user interfaces, multi-threading, networking, relational databases, formal software development methodologies, and source code management is recommended. * - Strong attention to details and belief in delivering quality work products.
