Commodity Resource Manager (Gm) Marion

MPS Group Inc. has a position open at the GM Marion plant for a Commodity Resource Manager (CRM) responsible for implementing, developing and improving By-product strategy to maintain zero waste status and recover all resources to their highest value.

Typical Duties include but not limited to:

• Manage scrap shipment scheduling, collection locations, scrap reports, and other scrap related issues including assisting with scrap contracts and spot buys.

• Monitor the plant scrap for potentially new components for possible sale in the Outlet Shop.

• Identify all excess & obsolete(E&O) parts going through salvage process.

• Work with Quality Engineer on available E&O/damaged engines and engine components, that are not going back to production line.

• Maintain a list of salvaged components that the Asset Recovery (AR) dismantler (e.g. Schram Auto and Truck Parts) will accept.

• Monitor and manage the Parts for Reuse program.

• Technician responsibilities include waste shipment preparation, movement, and inspection.

• Work to minimize waste generated, improve existing recycling programs, implement new recycling programs, and identify possible reuse opportunities for various by-products.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required. College degree preferred.

• Excellent people and communication skills.

• Basic understanding of manufacturing.

• Forklift experience.

• Excellent computer skills-Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word.
