Robert Half Finance and Accounting is seeking a Commodity Analyst to join a Westchester based agriculture business. A successful candidate will be someone with an understanding of financial markets and investment vehicles. Responsibilities include: - Work closely with other departments to address and resolve all reconciling items.

  • A willingness to meet deadlines required for public company filings (Monthly close process).

  • Prepare and analyze daily mark-to-market reporting

  • Monthly inventory reconciliations to AR, AP and General Ledger, including documenting and clearing reconciling items

  • Monthly gross margin analysis versus estimates and prior periods

  • Strong computer and technical skills; Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.

  • 1-3 years Public Accounting experience.

  • Ability to efficiently learn and utilize new software applications.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment: Handling ad hoc projects as needed.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidate will be expected to document existing and new processes while working with developers to improve systems output.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet daily deadlines and prioritize tasks.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics

  • Master's Degree/CPA preferred

Job Description Business Analyst - FXL is responsible for the overall success of the FXL product suite. Our product management group is involved in all activities that impact the product internally and are responsible for ensuring that the product meets the needs of our clients and the marketplace. In this role, your primary responsibilities will include: * • Understanding client requirements and working with the FXL Development team on designs and acceptance criteria for product enhancements * • Responsibility for the oversight of development and coordination with the client on UAT / SIT testing and ultimately the adoption of resulting new systems with enhanced functionality * • Obtaining a thorough understanding of the product in order to assist clients by answering questions and troubleshooting application related issues Responsibilities * Partner with Development Managers, Product Analysts and Business PMs as well as other key partners to facilitate effective communication, assess needs, understand requirements and priorities and implement solutions that meet client target dates * Work with product development by working daily with Development and other teams through all phases of the process: ideation, design, development, testing, and product rollout * Elicit client requirements and write up specifications. Gain a clear understanding of the operational need in order to deliver the correct and appropriate solution * Work with the Implementation team to understand client business needs and help align the client specific tests with our QA tools.
