Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Skilled Mechanical duties involving troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing natural gas engines, compressors, generators, turbines and/or other power driven equipment.

  • Inspect engines, compressors and mechanical equipment: diagnose problems and determine extent of necessary repairs; supervise and schedule repairs and routine preventative maintenance.

  • Detailed awareness of compressor components including: lubrication systems, shutdown systems, loading and unloading valves, pistons, valves and electrical systems.

  • Performing lockout/tagout, starting/stopping of equipment, and perform equipment checks.

  • Use of hand tools, power tools, and electronic diagnostic equipment

  • Perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Must meet required production rate expectations.

  • Must adhere to company policies and procedures

  • Understanding of equipment repair manuals

  • Performs other functions/duties as required.

  • Must be willing to travel for extended periods of time.

  • Willing to travel on a International basis as required

Required education or minimum level:

  • High school education (GED)

  • Caterpillar certifications and credentials for commissioning

  • Waukesha certifications and credentials for commissioning

Experience:

  • 5 years industry experience preferred.

Software Knowledge:

  • Basic computer skills i.e. Microsoft office word Microsoft office excel

  • Cat ET

  • Waukesha ESM

Skills:

  • Must have experience with heavy mechanical, some electrical service, and mechanically inclined with the ability to trouble shoot, diagnose, inspect, advised, and repair. Must have the ability to learn and work independently

Mental Power: Ability to exercise judgment that is varied in terms of what and how work is to be done, as well as why it is done, within established policies and procedures.

Physical Power: Driving, walking, standing frequently arm/wrist/hand movement. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
