Holman Insurance is currently recruiting for the role of Commercial Lines Account Manager. This is a Full Time position based in Maple Shade, NJ.

Job Purpose

The Commercial Lines Account Manager position at Holman Insurance Services is an essential role that acts to assist the commercial producers for new business growth and client retention. The responsibilities listed below center around our strategy to profitably grow and service our Commercial lines business.

Qualified candidates for this role will have at least 3 years' experience in servicing commercial insurance business on a retail basis with an equal focus on providing extraordinary customer care to each and every Holman client.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist producers in generating business applications for new and renewal business for Commercial Lines Property and Casualty insurance ensuring timely submission to carriers. Attention to detail, adherence to underwriting guidelines and persistent follow-up will be critical for proper issuance of policies.

  • Ability to underwrite, rate and negotiate price based on risk analysis.

  • Field questions from prospects and customers regarding insurance coverage options, policy provisions, discounts and pricing and other information that might be requested. Request and process endorsements, check policies for accuracy.

  • Responsible for remarketing of accounts as well as cross selling other policies to existing insureds.

  • Work closely with management team to help achieve premium and retention targets for all lines of selected business.

  • Act as a brand ambassador for the insurance group at all Holman functions and across the Holman organization.

  • Interact with other Account Managers and customer service personnel as needed to help the business consistently meet its growth and service objectives. This may involve assisting with new employees from time to time, helping to train others on the business operating system or sharing successful ideas and processes with the rest of the frontline.

  • Assist with client service needs that may include policy changes, certificates and ID cards, billing questions, claims inquiries and assistance, or other tasks as requested. Every employee in the insurance business will share responsibility for creating a unique and positive experience for our clients, prospects and business partners during each interaction.

Position Requirements

  • Individuals must be goal driven, self-motivated and comfortable with individual accountability while also being collaborative and comfortable working in a team environment.

  • Dedicated to delivering exceptional customer care to all prospects and clients of the business.

  • A minimum of three years' experience in Property and Casualty retail insurance is preferred, with excellent understanding of commercial insurance coverages

  • Experience in the AMS60 management system.

  • Able to interact comfortably, both over the phone and in person, with prospects, clients, referral sources and business colleagues both in and outside of the Holman group of companies.

  • Excellent writing and communication skills.

Position Summary Support the service and tire team under the direction of the Manager, Store Service. Assist in driving sales across service labor, parts, tires, and fleet business and you provide essential selling and task support by partnering with management to make certain that the service repair business is organized, store operations are running efficiently, and shop productivity is maintained to company standards. This position has been designated as a safety-sensitive position. Duties & Responsibilities * Under the direction of the Store Manager of Service, assists in various aspects of customer care, work order and register assistance, facility maintenance, and merchandising activities, including tire related stocking. Ensure that service equipment is in proper working order and housekeeping standards are followed according to SSC direction and instruction. * Follow all policies and procedures related to all point of sale (POS) transactions, inventory integrity, reverse logistics, cash, credit, check, refund and return policies and purchase for re-sale parts (OP) procurement and vendor payment practices. * Work with the management team to react to customer service issues, customer complaints, and/or business opportunities. * Drives sales goals for the service center operation, both through personal engagement with customers and by observing and coaching the advisors on their customer interactions. * Assist the Store Manager of Service in training and coaching service selling associates on "Pep Boys Customer Care Process," Courtesy Vehicle Inspections (CVIs), and general operation of store systems. Performs CVIs and other service-related tasks as qualified and directed. * Assist in monitoring the shop productivity, workflow, and procedures with an emphasis on efficiency, thoroughness, and safety. Help with the day-to-day operations of the back shop, such as ensuring that the service staff complete CVIs through associate observations. * Effectively communicates with all store associates, management, and customers. * In the absence of any management, the Assistant Service Manager will act as the primary supervisor for the store staff, observing and coordinating operational activities. * Key holder and responsible for basic and detailed opening and closing responsibilities. * Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * High school diploma or equivalent required. * One year of experience in automotive service environment. * Valid Driver's License . * Must have basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions. Ability to apply mathematical formulas to calculate commissions and discounts. * Acted as a work lead or supervisor previously. * Ability to exercise judgement and to work independently. * Strong customer service skills. * Ability to handle difficult customer situations. * Comfortable utilizing up-sell techniques. * Strong cash handling skills, including the use of POS systems. * Strong verbal communication skills. * Demonstrated consistency, accuracy and follow-through. * Ability to work Days, Nights, Holidays and Weekends.
