Job Description:

Commercialization Engineer is a key contributor to the economic and technical success of Cabot Microelectronics Corporation's strategic product placement in the CMP market. In this role, you will assume ownership of the Product launch activities and change implementations to the Manufacturing Department utilizing the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage commercialization tasks required to launch new products.

  • Drive change management projects to meet timeline milestones.

  • Planning and execution of experiments to produce and collect key data that leads to a robust manufacturing process.

  • Work with Engineering team to identify optimization opportunities of the Process Design including material, equipment and site selection.

  • Work together with the pilot plant to fully understand concepts in support of new process technologies.

  • Work with Engineering/Ops on the commissioning of tools and device instrumentation to ensure functionality of new equipment.

  • Work with Engineering team to create Bill-of-Materials for new products and drive the implementation of material flow.

  • Oversee system setups of new products within ERP, data acquisition and document control systems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional, cross-site teams.

  • Provide clear communication of technical information and manufacturing risks to internal customers and department managers.

Key knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Excitement for new products and the ability to handle change.

  • Demonstrate technical capabilities in the areas of process design, process scale-up, and unit operations in the semiconductor industry (or similar) preferred.

  • Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail and self-managing.

  • Project management experience.

  • Favor competency in Six Sigma DFSS, Lean manufacturing or DMAIC and knowledge/application of related tools.

  • 3-5 years demonstrated experience in the chemical process, semiconductor, food, or pharmaceutical industry with background in process development, commercialization, pilot plant, quality, scale-up or manufacturing desired.

  • Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Engineering or related field.

Your new responsibilities Quality Test Engineer / Sr. Quality Test Engineer – Hillsboro, NH Responsibilities: * Design, validate, document, and perform a wide variety of the electrical, environmental and mechanical tests to meet engineering requirements and/or automotive customer specifications. * Manage multiple projects and test programs in a fast-paced environment. * Highly motivated person must be able to work with frequently changing priorities, clearly communicate plans and schedules and assist with special analysis projects when needed. * Excellent customer service skills needed as well as a strong technical background with related equipment. * Preparation of engineering documentation including test plan, test procedures and reports. * Design and build fixtures and test stations as required to carry out the validation test plan. * Performs safety analyses of new and existing systems to ensure safe operations. * Maintain, repair and/or coordinate repair of lab equipment. * Requires good self-management skills and personal ownership of the equipment and projects. * Ability to quickly learn independently in order to adapt to new technologies. This position is responsible for the design, validation, and implementation of methods and systems to validate automotive light sources and systems. Develops procedures, hardware, and software for testing processes. Compiles data and provides professional reports for internal and external customers. Supports hardware, software and databases for testing. Has considerable additional professional, scientific, engineering, or technical training or experience, and has a demonstrated capacity for sound, related independent work. What we look for Requirements: * BS Degree in relevant engineering program (preferred, but not required) with 1 – 2 years of experience in related product validation. (Note: Sr. level requires minimum 5+ years experience) * 1 – 2 years of experience in related product validation. (Sr. level requires 5+ years experience) * Able to program, operate, and troubleshoot a variety of electrical/mechanical testing equipment such as multimeters, data loggers, environmental chambers, oscilloscopes and power supplies. * Ability to design, build, verify, troubleshoot and reverse engineer automated test systems comprised of PLC/PACs, relays, shunts, opto-isolators and other AC/DC/TTL electronics. * Strong programming experience in SQL, VB.NET, VBA, and Access. * Intermediate experience with SolidWorks, LabVIEW, Oracle and/or C#.NET a plus. * Excellent written and verbal communication. * Excellent attention to detail * Commitment to working independently and in a team environment. * Automotive experience a plus. * Experience with SOLIDWORKS, calibration, photometric measurements, and/or MSA a plus. * Six Sigma, SPC experience a plus * Relocation assistance is not available with this position.Not sponsoring visas for this position.OSRAM is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
