General Summary

The King Arthur Flour Commercialization Coordinator position is an action-oriented role focused on supporting bringing new products to market. This position collaborates with the Commercialization Managers to gather, track and finalize product deliverables and data needed to successfully commercialize and launch each new product. This position drives the support of timelines for commercialization and deliverables required for any product across all channels with cross functional/cross departmental stakeholders. (Sales, Innovation, Brand Marketing, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Business Process Improvement and Finance.) This includes the timely and accurate release of internal information, release of specifications to co-manufactures / points of distribution and ensuring the specifications yield high quality product.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Partner with Commercialization Managers and cross-functional teams to:

o Manage development and commercialization calendars

o Manage and oversee project timelines and deliverables

o Coordinate extended team activities

o Record and publish notes from team review meetings

o Flow updates to the team and co-manufacturers with appropriate review and approvals

o Identify and track all commercialization deliverables based on inputs from appropriate teams

Minimum job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience in R&D, project management, engineering, operations or commercialization in food manufacturing

  • Proven track record of project management, including all elements of scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, procurement, human resources and communication

  • Proven track-record of effectively communicating, managing and executing multiple projects concurrently in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to build trust and respect amongst peer group and recognizes the importance of solid relationships

  • Ability/confidence to hold peers accountable for required tasks

  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and business acumen

  • Ability to influence, collaborate and effectively interact with all levels and functions within the organization

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

  • The work environment of this position is conducted within the general office with up to 75% of the function being performed at the computer. One must be acclimated to an open office seating structure as well as a collaborative, open door policy.

  • Understand and demonstrate ergonomic best practices

  • Comply with all good manufacturing practices (GMP) and personal protective equipment (PPE) programs when working in manufacturing facilities

Drivers use a multitude of methods including manual lifting, use of two wheel dolly, ramps, and/or carts in multi-temperature environments. Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: * Safe and professional operation of a commercial motor vehicle, including but not limited to: Combination vehicles, straight trucks, or other vehicles such as pick-up trucks and service vans with a GVWR or GCWR over 10,001 lbs. * Complete pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment. * Ability to operate vehicles in congested areas with limited space and potential obstacles. * Comply with all applicable Department of Transportation regulations including but not limited: Controlled Substances, Commercial Driver Licensing, Driver Qualification, CMV Operation, Hours of Service; CSA inspections and compliance, Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance, etc. * Maintain an acceptable driving record in compliance with Department of Transportation Regulations. * Utilize an on board computer to track hours of service. * Provide exceptional customer service. * Safely and accurately unload and deliver multi-temperature product to customers utilizing a variety of preferred methods including lift gates, carts, conveyers, hand trucks, and/or pallet jacks. * Utilize barcode scanners at the point of delivery as required to verify delivered product. * Pick up returned product as required. * Accurately complete delivery and pick up paperwork. * Maintain contact with Dispatch to receive delivery or pick up instructions or changes in scheduled deliveries or pick-ups. * Maintain route plan as provided by Dispatch.
