About the Role: We are looking for a Supplier Engineer to join our Commercial Supplier Engineering Team that will provide technical support for externally supplied commercial items provided to Gore. This Supplier Engineer will provide engineering support for work executed within GORE's quality system, supplier engineering projects, and work driven by suppliers.

This is a remote position, and you can work from home in most locations within the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for commercial items manufactured by suppliers

  • Partner and develop relationships with suppliers to ensure supplier provided items meet required GORE product and quality specifications and requirements

  • Partner and develop relationships across multiple product teams and across multiple functions to promote effective and efficient collaboration, decision making, and successful MPD solutions and outcomes

  • Own, execute, and support supplier related quality system items and processes in compliance with MPD Quality System requirements, including but not limited to Supplier Change Notifications (SCNs), Change Orders (COs), Supplier Nonconformances (NCRs), External Part Qualifications (EPQs), Supplier related Validation and Qualification Activities, Supplier Risk Assessments/Risk Mitigation, and Supplier Corrective Actions (SCARs)

  • Support and promote MPD Strategic Sourcing Strategies in partnership with Procurement and Category teams

  • Provide project management for supplier related projects

  • Identify opportunities to establish Supplier Engineering best practices and improve upon existing processes and programs related to overall supplier management and performance and management of Supplier Engineering related work

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years engineering experience, including a minimum of 2 years from the medical device industry

  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate cross functionally and across multiple teams

  • Demonstrated ability to independently execute multiple types of quality system objects in compliance with MPD quality system requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to make data driven and risk-based decisions using critical thinking

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively and efficiently and manage multiple items, prioritization of work and allocation of time appropriately

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes based on team priorities and MPD priorities

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive alignment

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and efficiently using both verbal and written forms of communication

  • Ability to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively partner externally or with suppliers

  • Demonstrated ability to clearly establish expectations, fairly address performance issues, and hold suppliers accountable

  • Demonstrated ability to provide medical device product quality engineering support, including quality and design assurance

Remote Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates in the continental United States (US) and Canada, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore's remote working policies, from the country in which they are employed. For fully remote roles, the following locations are not eligible for new fully remote work arrangements: Alaska and Hawaii (for all roles), and Rhode Island (for wage/hourly roles only).
