Job Type Full Time Compensation $21-29/hourly Benefits Employee Health Insurance 100% paid by company Spouse/family Health Insurance 25% of premium paid by company Dental Insurance after 60 days Vison Insurance after 60 days 401K/Profit sharing Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance Life Insurance Recertification of OSHA 10 hour course, Manlift, Forklift, and First Aid by company if needed Paid time off, amount negotiable depending on tenure and experience Paid training Job Duties Install roofing materials such as shingles, slate, asphalt, aluminum, wood, all forms of sheet metal roofing or related materials on steep-slope roofs 3:12 or greater Inspect problematic roofs to determine the best repair procedures Knowledge and experience in working on a pitched roof, and being comfortable working at heights and on pitches Knowledge of scaffolding and safety equipment set up before beginning work Work with a team to accomplish roofing tasks on steep slopes efficiently and safely Follow local building codes and safety regulations Maintain a clean job site by clearing debris and hazardous materials Ability to follow OSHA and Company fall protection and other safety requirements- NO EXCEPTIONS Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older Preferred 2 years of experience in steep slope roofing or a related construction field Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Successfully pass pre-employment physical and drug screening Experience in installing various roofing materials such as asphalt shingles, metal roofing, tile, and wood shakes Knowledge of roofing tools, equipment, and safety protocols Ability to measure, cut, and align roofing materials accurately Experience with underlayment, ice/water shield, and drip edges installation techniques Familiarity with local building codes and regulations pertaining to roofing Physical fitness to lift heavy materials and work at heights Comfortable working in various weather conditions Strong balance and coordination to navigate steep slope environments Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary Certification or willingness to obtain certification for the installation of specific roofing products Comply with all Company policies, procedures, and OSHA safety standards Upson History Upson Company is a locally owned and operated commercial roofing contractor, located in the Boise Valley since 1975 with a track record of financial stability and consistent year-round work.
