Commercial Sourcing Manager, Network Systems

As a Network Systems Commercial Sourcing Manager, you will act as the primary commercial contact for critical Network Hardware commodities and products (e.g., Network Interface Cards & Switches), sourcing across the Meta supply base, while developing optionality on sources of supply as required. Sourcing activities will include, but not be limited to, identification of Hardware availability and options, developing and leading negotiation and sourcing strategies, partnering with Meta Network Hardware Engineering teams to develop a business and technology roadmap in support of Meta's hardware goals and objectives and driving sourcing decisions on a global basis.

Working closely with the Network Hardware Engineering Teams, the Sourcing Manager will lead the commercial engagements for prototype sourcing and development in support of new product development and new product introduction. The Sourcing Manager will also be responsible for the deployment of selected solutions and technologies, and supplier management with particular emphasis in the areas of sourcing for advanced technologies. Additionally, the Sourcing Manager will be responsible for contracts, negotiations, joint development models, Intellectual Property, licensing, and the development of global commodity and supply chain strategies to enable Meta to meet time-to-development/time-to-production goals, while managing the total landed cost. This position reports to the Director of Global Technology Network Sourcing.10+ years of business or supply chain experience in the data center, hyperscalers, cloud service providers, compute, or AI system hardware supply chain and associated industries. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or degree in a related technical or business field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in commodity management in a high tech environment. Proven experience to move seamlessly from strategy to execution and deliver tangible results. Demonstrated communication skills, experience influencing, negotiating, building consensus and making key decisions. Experience interfacing with internal and external partners in a time-sensitive, often ambiguous and cross-functional environment, requiring a wide latitude for judgment while coordinating people and technical resources. Proven understanding of "should cost" modeling for supply chain and design for value trade-offs. Direct experience partnering with C-suite executives and leaders in top networking suppliers/partners. Leadership and management experience. MSEE or MBA preferred.
