Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with clients, engineers, and team members to deeply understand project objectives.
Strengthen client relationships, reinforce our value proposition, and support business development efforts.
Drive the development of new commercial territorial accounts through cold calling, prospecting, networking, telemarketing lead follow-up, target marketings, and business development meetings.
Manage and expand the client portfolio by engaging with both new and existing customers.
Attend pre-bid meetings and respond proactively to invitations to bid and requests for proposals (RFP).
Review and ensure the accuracy of Notice to Proceed letters (NTP) and contract scopes and pricing.
Analyze project specifications and drawings, compiling project notes, RFIs, and scope details.
Perform measurements and verify dimensions, conducting test cuts when necessary.
Utilize cutting-edge Edge Estimating Software for precise take-offs and estimates.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction through strategic analysis of processes, staff, and materials.
Prepare comprehensive proposals and cost estimates based on thorough data analysis and research.
Participate in financial analysis upon job completion, ensuring accurate tracking of performance metrics.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED; a degree in Business or Construction Management is advantageous.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing sales.
Minimum 3 yrs. experience with commercial roofing projects in the Florida market
Proficiency in project management and estimating for large, complex commercial roofing projects.
Understanding of the current market, top competitors, and a robust network of potential prospects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to create forecasts based on financial data.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proven ability to expand market share and strong networking skills.
Previous experience estimating with Edge Estimating Software preferred
Willingness to travel locally as required.
