Commercial Roofing Service Technician

We are now interviewing candidates for a Commercial Roofing Service Technician position

As our Commercial Roofing Service Tech, you will handle maintenance repair contracts, daily leak detection, roof inspections, time tracking, and truck material inventory. We install PVC, KEE, TPO, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, and conventional built-up roofing systems for low-slope applications.

Please apply today for immediate consideration. Job Responsibilities: Work with the Service Department to achieve company revenue, expenses, and profit goals.

Respond to service calls and address customer issues in a timely manner. Diagnose problems and provide solutions to resolve issues, including providing proactive recommendations. Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.

Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines. Accurately document work performed, including materials used and time spent, and communicate this information to management and clients. Complete needed reports pertaining to daily work or company vehicles or equipment.

Maintain company vehicle and inventory of materials and tools. Provide exceptional customer service and build positive relationships with customers. Communicate with internal service team, site representatives, vendors, etc.

Continuously improve technical skills and knowledge through training and certification programs. Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, quality, and customer service. Produce revenue goals through assigned projects, service requests, onsite NTE increases, and onsite leak to contract conversions.

Maintain an average efficiency rate of 95% (less than 5% callbacks) on all service work. Provide emergency service response as needed. Work alongside an assistant technician while providing leadership training on standard roofing practices.

Position Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Thorough knowledge of commercial roofing materials and roofing systems. 5 years of experience in commercial roofing and roofing systems required.

Mechanically minded and have a strong ability to troubleshoot and make quality repairs. Experience in diagnosing leaks. Proficient in technology/CRM software.

Ability to email, use apps, digital photo documentation, and transmission. Detail-oriented. Exceptional problem-solving skills.

Strong interpersonal communication skills. General good health and condition. Often work at heights and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy materials, carrying equipment, and working in challenging weather conditions.

Must have an excellent sense of balance and depth perception. Safety conscious and alert. Minimum OSHA 10 Required, OSHA 30 preferred.

Strong organizational, analytical, and technical skills. Valid state driver's license and the ability to maintain and operate a company vehicle. Must be able to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
