Commercial Roofer

Description The Commercial Roofer installs and repairs roofs on commercial properties. They are responsible for ensuring the roofs are properly maintained and functioning correctly to prevent water damage or other issues from occurring.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Responsible for loading/unloading materials from/to roof.

Installing commercial roof systems based on supervisor direction which may include removal of existing. Conducting inspections of roofs to identify potential problems such as leaks or damage and recommending repairs. Installing gutters, downspouts, and exterior drainage devices on roofs to prevent water damage to walls and floors below.

Must follow all OSHA and Guy Roofing Safety practices/policies and attend all required safety training. Must follow all Guy Roofing company policies and procedures. Must use all required safety equipment on jobsite.

Ability to identify specific types of roofing materials and implement proper installation methods. Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy weighted objects including materials and equipment. Ability to work at heights as well as access height form a ladder.

Education and/or Experience 2-5 years' experience in roofing. Knowledge of the permitting process, materials, and methods involved in the construction or repair of roofs. Good communication skills and professional presentation.

Ability to follow safety regulations. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple high-profile tasks. Strong problem-solving abilities.
