Overview

Contribute to the profitability and growth of Fulton Financial Corporation by building, developing and managing new and existing client relationships with small businesses with one to five million dollars in revenues. Coordinate loan, deposit and fee income products and services appropriate to the needs of the client. Seek opportunities to network.

Responsibilities Essential Duties

  • Provide annual relationship reviews to understand client's needs, small businesses with 1-5 Million dollars in revenue, and future plans in order to identify appropriate loan, deposit or other financial service opportunities. Utilize the Bank proposal system to provide value added options to clients.

    Facilitate prompt, courteous and satisfactory problem resolution. Take proactive, appropriate measures to retain loan and deposit balances, when desirable. Foster a collaborative Team approach with Fulton Partners and Retail Relationship Managers to enhance client relationships.

    Exemplify the delivery of a superior customer experience. Participate in joint calling efforts for existing and prospective customers with Retail Relationship Managers, Fulton Partners and Senior Management.

  • Identify, source, maintain and develop small business customers and prospects with lending, deposit and other financial service needs. Utilize Bank proposal system to share the Fulton Financial Corporation story and showcase the bank's products, services and employees.

    Identify new loan, deposit and other financial service opportunities within existing client base during regular client meetings. Ability to source a credit opportunity, negotiate mutually agreeable terms, navigate the credit underwriting and approval process, document the loan and execute the closing. Develop strategies to attract and retain high value Centers of Influence such as Attorneys, Accountants, Community Leaders, Chamber of Commerce, EDC's, Realtors, Insurance Agents, Title Companies.

    Create value add experiences for clients and prospective clients. Entertain clients, and prospective clients in an acceptable manner that builds rapport, trust and creditability. Active participation in sales oriented meetings and functions with colleagues.

  • Ensure credit review and risk rating practices are continuous, complete and accurate. Gather and review all required financial and related company, industry, management data to monitor on going credit worthiness and risk rating accuracy.

    Monitor management reports to address line reaffirmations, loan maturities, delinquencies, and exceptions. Establish action plans for troubled credits and or work with Special Assets Department to resolve problem loans in an efficient manner to protect the bank's investment. Timely and proactive management of loan databases.

    Watch list reports, Asset Quality reporting as directed by Senior Management. Timely resolution to loan documentation and technical exceptions. Compliant with all regulatory and bank risk compliance matters. Work with the team members within the Business Loan Center in the decision making process.

Qualifications Qualifications:
Education

Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience. Specialty: Business Management. (Required)

Experience
1 or more years Commercial Credit, Commercial banking, Consumer, or Small Business credit experience. (Required)
1 or more years Knowledgeable in fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of business banking. Understands Credit underwriting and has extensive partner knowledge and deposit gathering experience. (Required)

Make a difference - for us and for your future.Position Title: Commercial Banker 2 Business Unit: Commercial Banking Reports To: Commercial Banking Team Leader Position Overview: This position is primarily responsible for developing new and existing commercial loan business relationships, administering a portfolio of commercial loans, determining the credit worthiness of borrowers, monitoring loan performance, preparing commercial loans for presentation and promoting the Bank’s image in the community in order to meet or exceed commercial loan quality, profitability, growth and service objectives. The incumbent provides the highest quality of service to every customer. Primary Responsibilities: Develops new and existing commercial loan business relationships by calling on potential and existing customers to cross-sell all banking products including other banking services and to promote the Bank’s image within limits of current budget and mix of products to develop new and expand existing commercial loan business and achieve profit and growth objectives. Administers a portfolio of commercial loans by preparing loans that meet credit quality, profitability, growth and service requirements as determined by portfolio yield, loss ratio, delinquency rate and other measures to achieve profit and growth objectives. Determines the credit worthiness of borrowers by making sound analysis of their financial condition, ability to repay the loan and the net realizable value of the collateral in accordance with established policy and procedure to ensure a portfolio of commercial loans that meet the Bank's quality standards. Monitors loan performance by maintaining contact with borrowers, monitoring the financial condition of borrowers and resolving problems and when appropriate waiving a request for financial statements according to established policies, procedures and regulations in an accurate and timely manner to reduce risk the Bank might incur from collateral deterioration or borrowers' inability to pay. Prepares loan documents that are in compliance with bank regulations for presentation, presents loans that are above the incumbent's lending limit to the loan committee or officer with higher lending limits communicating all elements of the loan to ensure compliance with regulations and to enhance the ability to make sound credit decisions. Promotes the Bank’s image in the community by participating in community activities, coordinating community development efforts, promoting involvement and participation in community service organizations to assist in compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act, presents a favorable image in the community and establishes contacts that could generate new business. Develops and maintains an adequate level of knowledge in Commercial Banking, general banking and business development matters and demonstrates personal and interpersonal behavior, attitude, judgment, communication and initiative with customers and employees to ensure an acceptable degree of performance. Implements all compliance policies and procedures within the department and ensures the department staff receives adequate regulatory compliance training to perform job functions in compliance with regulatory requirements and standards, follows corporate Compliance policies and procedures and cooperates fully with all internal and external compliance reviews and examinations. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
