We are looking for an experienced Commercial Real Estate Loan Closing Administrator to provide top notch customer service to our clients and customers. The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience necessary to:

  • Manage the documentation review and loan closing process for commercial real estate loans.

  • Works directly with relationship managers (RM), along with the borrower, legal counsel, title companies, insurance agents, and vendors to ensure closing requirements are met and necessary due diligence is obtained.

  • Represent the organization with clients and outside agencies.

  • Review and comprehend complex loan documentation, loan terms and financial elements for accuracy and consistency with the Credit Approval.

  • Ensures documents are prepared in compliance with credit policy, documentation standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Identity potential risks and provides solutions.

  • Responsible for ensuring waivers or deviations from policy are adequately documented.

  • Instruct attorney to prepare loan documents in accordance with credit approval and bank's requirements.

  • Interact with clients, collecting, reviewing and distributing due diligence items necessary for a loan closing.

  • Actively negotiates and coordinates loan documents with Legal counsel.

  • Notifies the RM, attorney and client of items missing items or required corrections and ensures attorney closing checklist is accurate. Assist RM with clarification of legal, policy and documentation issues requiring adjustments. Confirms budget, escrow closing statement and bank settlement statements are in balance, ensuring fees and expenses are accounted for and outstanding items are identified.

  • Ensures appropriate approval and/or waivers and exceptions are obtained. May train and mentor lower level loan closers.

  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelors degree in Business, Finance or a related field and 8+ years of Commercial Real Estate documentation/closing experience required, including 4+yrs experience reading and interpreting loan and legal documentation or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.

The Business Lending Services Department specialize in lower middle-market commercial loans, commercial real estate loans, and SBA throughout California. The successful candidate will perform the following job duties:</p><p>Position Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Responsible for analyzing and underwriting complex Commercial &amp; Industrial, Investor CRE, and Owner-Occupied CRE. Writes credit narratives and pre-flights/concept memorandums.</p></li><li><p>Conducts credit investigations and analyzes credit information pertaining to loans. Investigates all available sources of credit and financial information, including reporting services, credit bureaus, other companies, main office files, and branches.</p></li><li><p>Analyzes financial statements and tax returns, accounts receivable and payable aging, inventory reports, third party appraisal reports, and related material. Analyzes financial conditions and trends, including industry research.</p></li><li><p>Determines cash flow using appropriate software and cash flow models. Builds custom cash flow models for complex borrowers or industries.</p></li><li><p>Prepares summaries, presents facts, and offers opinions concerning credit-worthiness to relationship managers, senior management, and credit approvers. Makes recommendations for credit and covenant structures.</p></li><li><p>Ensures that all credit files include proper documentation including current financial statements, agency reports, etc.</p></li><li><p>Reviews existing financial and reporting covenants for compliance as required.</p></li><li><p>Accompanies relationship managers on business calls as requested.</p></li><li><p>May assist in the training and mentorship of junior credit analysts.</p></li><li><p>Assists with special projects as assigned.</p></li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>Requires a Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related area of study.</p></li><li><p>8+ years of commercial credit analysis and underwriting experience.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of C&amp;I, Investor CRE, Owner-Occupied CRE, and SBA 504.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of financial and spread analysis, accounting, and credit/lending procedures for complex loans.
