POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for working in conjunction with the Real Estate Appraiser and Review Manager on ordering and reviewing commercial real estate appraisals and preparing and reviewing evaluations for completeness, appropriateness and compliance with all regulations and guidelines, both internal and external.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Responsible for preparing the initial set up of internal commercial real estate evaluations.

  • Analyzes and determines if internal commercial real estate evaluations are credible and appropriate analysis was used to accurately establish a reasonable market value.

  • Completes internal commercial real estate appraisal reviews for compliance with corporate policy and standards, USPAP, FIRREA and all appraisal/evaluation-related regulations.

  • Maintains an appraisal and evaluation database of information that will be used in various reporting functions.

  • Responsible for assisting in the daily management of appraisal and evaluation workflow.

  • Interacts directly with appraisers regarding commercial real estate appraisal orders and reviews.

  • Responsible for responding to inquiries from Relationship Managers, Underwriters, Loan Processors, Loan Originators and Senior Management in regard to appraisal and evaluation questions.

  • Responsible for prioritizing workflows.

  • Interacts with relationship managers, credit analysts, and other lending and loan documentation personnel regarding commercial real estate and credit concerns.

  • Completes all compliance training as scheduled.

  • Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs all other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Prior commercial real estate appraisal and/or credit experience preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Self-directed; highly motivated.

  • Ability to work independently and manage workflows.

  • Ability to assume multiple responsibilities.

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong PC skills--proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel essential.

EDUCATION

High School diploma or equivalent.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Minimal or occasional travel for meetings, projects or training as needed.
