We are seeking a Commercial Property Claims Manager that will be responsible for overseeing a team of commercial property desk and field adjusters handling property claims throughout the United States. This position is based in our Home Office in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

  • Supervise commercial property staff, participate in the selection of new personnel and develop training processes and procedures throughout the United States

  • Properly assigning claims to the commercial property team based upon territory and complexity

  • Implement objectives to ensure adequate reserving and adjust claims in a timely and efficient manner

  • Develop policies, procedures, and performance metrics for the commercial property team

  • Manage and coordinate independent field adjusting firms, in house field adjusters and desk adjusters in the handling of claims assigned

  • Provide technical guidance and direction on commercial property claims

  • Motivate and develop team members to excel in claims customer service

  • Ensure regulatory compliance and usage of claim best practices, while meeting targets for service, loss mitigation, productivity and expense management

  • Provide guidance to the commercial property team on interpretation of coverage issues and drafting of coverage letters

  • Keep current of changes in the laws and regulations in the commercial property area and assist in implementing these changes within the department

  • Ability to manage outside vendors and ensure that results are meeting our standards and objectives.

  • Prepare large loss notices

  • Determining, recognizing and interpreting coverages

  • Work in conjunction with our Business System unit in developing system enhancements


We are seeking candidates with the following:

  • At least 5+ years of commercial property adjusting experience

  • Must have experience managing commercial property adjusters

  • Experience with Xactimate

  • Ability to travel as needed- Will need to travel to remote offices

  • Strong organization and time management skills

  • Must have strong leadership skills with the ability to attract, retain and develop staff and promote teamwork

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to obtain licenses in other states if requested

Education:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four year college or university is preferred

Job Description Within the Global Portfolio and Marketing Organization, this new team will apply new capabilities to accelerate analytics-driven support for critical business decisions and will also be responsible for framing long term strategies that grow business. They should be able to support the team lead in recommending and developing analytical insights demonstrating curiosity and creative thinking as relates to the use of data. Principle Responsibilities * Demonstrate analytical thinking, understanding of pharmaceutical industry attention to detail and the ability to discern patterns in data and translate data and analyses into a tangible, compelling story for non-analytical stakeholders * Participate in setting project scope and conduct information gathering exercises as part of the project design phase to identify data requirements, resource needs and stakeholders to be involved * Collect and analyze requirement for a wide range of projects employing data analytics to address business problems, pipeline strategy, patient dynamics, portfolio segmentation, analog analysis * Conduct Interviews or lead information gathering sessions with cross functional teams and subject matter experts * Proactively query datasets to uncover actionable insights and business opportunities and use data visualization tools to illustrate results and clarify analyses * Able to pilot and build data models to support business decisions * Keep up to date on relevant datasets, tools and methods that could enhance commercial analysis and maintain a database of projects, models and reports that can be continually leveraged * Be highly collaborative and work effectively with others on matrixed teams and demonstrate comfort working in a global environment Qualifications Education and Experience: * Bachelor's Degree in a technical or quantitative field from an accredited college or university * 3 + years in an analytically oriented role and must have experience and deep understanding of pharmaceutical industry * Candidates should have understanding of pharmaceutical data sets (sales data, claims data, patient level data, etc.) * Expertise in statistical techniques (regression analysis, cluster analysis, etc.) * Able to asses and analyze data, understand business process and how they impact decisions * Knowledge of statistical and analytics techniques tools (SAS, R or others desirable) * Advanced of knowledge of Excel , PowerPoint and familiarity in business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Qlik and others in the market Function Marketing Already Working @TEVA?
